HOSPITALITY WORKSHOP

How to’s to have an outreach tea, followed by a question and answer time. Women’s Ministries often combine this with a tea and invite their women and those from nearby churches. In this workshop I encourage women to reach out in their neighborhoods and invite women to tea, with the idea of reaching them for Christ.

THE JOY OF TEA

In this workshop I share practical tips to serve an afternoon tea, along with clearing up misconceptions about English Tea and how to avoid common mistakes. I also share stories of tea’s I have experienced and ways to use the occasion to share your faith and encourage your guests with this workshop that is perfect for outreach.

STEEPED IN TRADITION

Taking tea is a thoroughly British tradition, but has spread to this side of the Atlantic! Whether informal or formal, serving tea is the ultimate art of hospitality. Penelope will share traditional tea menus, etiquette, proper preparation and even some healthful benefits of tea. Delightful analogies of the mature Christian “Teapot” pouring spiritual encouragement into the “teacup” of a younger life. A favorite at Mother-Daughter, Mother’s Day, high school and mentoring events.

BEING A VESSEL THAT GOD CAN USE

How to empty ourselves of the things we find important so that God can use us in mighty ways. He can work through us even though we have flaws and quote chips.quote I share scriptures of encouragement for women who may not have thought something as simple as a serving tea or coffee could be in God’s plan for their life.

LESSONS LEARNED FR0M THE TITANIC

History tends repeats itself. What are some ways we can make our lives easier and not prone to running aground, like the Titanic? We can learn to avoid complacency; learn from past mistakes; look at the whole picture and not over-rely on others. Avoid being “penny-wise and pound-foolish.” Learn practical thoughts and ideas shared by Penelope from her book Tea on the Titanic.
